Harold Sadaya, 26, of barangay Casili, Consolacion town and his friends Rommel Villomo, 25, and Leovigildo Yu were heading to their car when a bottle of liquor was thrown near them. They told policemen that one of the youngsters sitting nearby approached the victims and asked if they knew who threw the bottle.
When the victims said they did not now, the youth suddenly argued and started to punch them, forcing the victims to fight back but the youth's other companions quickly joined the melee.
Sensing that they were outnumbered, Sadaya and his companions retreated towards their car. But before they could get out of the parking lot shots were fired and Sadaya was hit in the back, Villomo's head was also grazed.
The youths hurriedly left before the police arrived while the two were rushed to North General Hospital.
Meanwhile, a Korean was arrested after he reportedly went wild and broke several bottles, glasses and window glass of the same disco early dawn yesterday.
Moon Se Ik, 25, temporarily residing in Winland Towers, claimed that an unidentified man whom he believed was also a Korean punched him in the face.
The commotion prompted several customers to flee the bar without paying their bills, some of which reached to P10,000. Around P45,000 worth of property was reportedly damaged during the incident.
The bar management, represented by Steve Sumalinog, demanded payment for the damages, including the unpaid bills, from the suspect who was detained at the Mabolo police station shortly after the incident.
