Three arrested for drugs

Three people were arrested in two separate operations conducted by the Carbon police station these past two days that resulted to confiscation of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Arrested yesterday was Roberto Yu, 40, an alleged drug peddler from sitio Ermita Beach, barangay Ermita. Policemen armed with search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 13 judge Meinrado Paredes raided Yu's house past 4 a.m. yesterday.
The team, led by Insp. Juanito Pajantoy, seized 16 packs of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia and instruments for repacking the said illegal drugs.
A day before the raid, SPO1 Timoteo Lopezbaños' team arrested a man and a woman for having drug paraphernalia at the said place.
Police identified the two as Patricia Baron Canedo, 47, and Ares Ortega Gimana, 26, from Sta. Cruz, Ronda town.
The police are now preparing charges against the three to be filed tomorrow before the prosecutor's office. - Edwin Ian Melecio
