The videoconference between the top DOST officials is one of the highlights during this year's celebration of the National Science and Technology Week (NSTW).
DOST regional director Rene Burt Llanto said the videoconference, which will be held at the Philippine Trade Training Center, would be witnessed by the media from different regions.
Nuna Almanzor, director of the Industrial Technology Development Institute, and Raul Sabularse, officer-in-charge of the Philippine Council for Industry and Energy Research and Development, will brief reporters on the bio-fuel projects.
Renator Solidum, director of Philippine Volcanology and Seismology, and Presco Nilo of the Philippine Atmospheric Geographical Astronomical and Seismological Administration will talk on the Disaster Preparedness and Mitigation Program of the department.
An open forum to be participated by DOST Secretary Estrella Alabastro will then follow.
Science enthusiasts worldwide can watch the key activities during the week-long celebration through the Internet and starting tomorrow, they can start accessing live the department's various presentations.

Other activities in line are the Technology and Investment Forum, Roundtable Discussion on Science and Technology Teaching Manpower Requirements in 2000-2010, Recognition of the Outstanding DOST Scholars, and the Scientific Forum.
