Drug pusher nabbed in Lapu-Lapu City

A 29-year-old suspected drug pusher fell to the authorities when he handed down a medium pack of shabu to a police poseur-buyer during a buy-bust operation along Maximo Patalinghug Avenue, barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City Thursday morning.
Estrillo Bacason Codina, 29, of sitio Radar, Basak and a worker at MEPZ 1, also yielded five sachets of shabu when he was arrested by the elements of Lapu-Lapu City police led by SPO3 Mario Poblete.
PO2 Jomar Ybavez, who acted as the poseur-buyer during the operation, was able to buy one sachet of shabu from Codina using P500 bill.
During the body search, the operatives also recovered from the suspect five more sachets of shabu, a cellular phone, a Motor Star motorcycle with plate number YU-4873 and his driver's license.
Codina is now detained at the Lapu-Lapu City police stockade while appropriate charges had been filed against him in court. - Norvie S. Misa
