Man hacks brother with bolo
May 5, 2006 | 12:00am
A 41-year-old shoe repairman was hacked by his half-brother in sitio Sangi, barangay Basak-San Nicolas yesterday.
Police investigation showed that the victim, Jonathan De Guzman, started to tear down his house to build a new one nearby last May 1 when the suspect, Eduardo Encierto, objected.
While the victim was carrying the detached part of the house to his new place yesterday, he met the suspect whom he confronted for reportedly taking a sheet of his galvanized iron roof. The suspect became irritated and uttered in the vernacular, "huwata ko diha kay mobalik ko."
The suspect came back a few minutes later bringing a bolo and immediately hacked De Guzman in his left arm, head and chin.
