Yesterday, the office personnel visited barangays Biasong and Cansojong and vaccinated about 80 dogs.
Pound keeper Erma Abarquez said they would visit the remaining 20 barangays in the city for the free vaccination. She added that although the city does not have enough dog vaccines, the province has been helping them in the program.
She said residents could always bring their dogs to the city veterinarian office anytime of the year. But she advised them to call the office first before coming because the stocks are limited.
Meanwhile, Abarquez said the impounding of dogs has been temporarily halted for two weeks now following their vehicle's break down.
She admitted they received calls from residents who wanted their dogs impounded but they could not yet respond to the problem. - Liv G. Campo
