Barangay chief, two brothers nabbed for frustrated murder

The barangay captain of Santa Cruz, San Francisco town in Camotes was arrested along with his two brothers for frustrated murder Wednesday morning.
Barangay captain Cresencio Estrera and his brothers Eusebio, 56, and Pepito 40, were arrested by the elements of San Francisco Police composed of SPO1 Danny Arcena, SPO Jose Argalon and PO1 Cosme Tampus Jr. by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Sylva G. Aguirre Paderanga of Danao City.
The court recommended a P200, 000 bail bond for each of the accused, who are now detained at the San Francisco Police Station pending the filing of a case against them.
The FREEMAN tried to talk to barangay captain Estrera through SPO1 Sherwin Abellari but the barangay chief refused to comment about his case. SPO1 Abellari said that the incident involving the Estrera brothers happened in September 2004 and the victim was a certain Ronald. - Norvie S. Misa, correspondent
