Five arrested for alleged hazing

A 21-year-old man and four juveniles were taken into police custody after authorities surprised the group that was about to undergo initiation rites in sitio Upper Guiwanon, barangay Poblacion, Compostela town Tuesday afternoon.
Reivie Logoy, 21, and four high school students however have remained tight-lipped and uncooperative. Two other juveniles had quicker reflexes, however, escaping with the dreaded "paddle."
The Compostela police led by SPO4 Socrates Medello found a red folder with "Upsilon Phi Omega" written on it. For the police, it was a dead-giveaway. Also found were application forms and documents identifying the fraternity. As alleged, a certain Jake of Liloan town had recruited the group.
The group however was released on the same day after saying it had lost interest in joining the group. - Norvie S. Misa, correspondent
