Another drug suspect falls in Tuburan raid

While a suspected drug pusher eluded arrest in a raid at barangay 2 in Tuburan town last Thursday, the police netted a suspected drug pusher in another raid at barangay 7 of the town that same day.

The police serving a warrant issued by Regional Trial Court-Toledo City judge Cesar Estrera against 45-year-old Jacinto Flores Gallarde, 45, and raided the latter's rented room.

Gallarde's wife first told the raiding team that he was not around but while waiting for two tanods to witness the raid, one of the policemen found him hiding behind a door, resulting to his arrest, said SPO1 Abel delos Santos.

Seized from Gallarde's room were two medium packs and four small packs of shabu, drug paraphernalia-all hidden in white cellophane on a plastic tray-and one magazine and one live bullet of a .45-caliber pistol.

Gallarde, who was included in the watch-list of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-7 and the Provincial Police, was later detained in the police station stockade while appropriate cases would be filed against him. - Flor Z. Perolina
