Man survives shot wound on the nape

A 27-year-old man survived a gunshot wound to the nape in sitio Saac, barangay Buaya, Lapu-Lapu City, yesterday dawn.

Ruben Baguio, a resident of the place, was allegedly shot by a certain Roy Cuizon, his neighbor.

SPO2 Rolito Jumao-as of the Lapu-Lapu police Homicide Section said the cause of their incident was allegedly an illegal deal gone sour. As to what it was specifically, police have no idea yet.

The victim was shot allegedly by the assailant with a handgun of still undetermined caliber before the assailant fled, eluding police who came to respond to the alarm.

Baguio immediately was brought to Don Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for medical treatment.

A follow-up investigation is still being conducted to locate the assailant. - Norvie S. Misa, Correspondent
