Some areas of Liloan town are scheduled to experience a three-hour power outage today, while some parts of Mandaue City would also have theirs on Sunday.
The Visayan Electric Company yesterday announced this schedule of power outages, which are due to the conduct of maintenance operations and upgrading of primary lines and facilities on these areas.
Today, VECO would replace rotten poles and install lateral fuse cutout at the lateral portion of its Consolacion sub-station.
This means that, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., barangays Tayud and Catarman in Liloan would have no power, affecting at least three big business establishments in these places.
On Sunday, VECO would reconstruct and tap new primary lines at its Pakna-an substation in Mandaue City, causing barangay Estancia to experience power outage from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. - Wenna A. Berondo
