Parian police deputy chief Elma Delos Santos yesterday told The Freeman that it was the first arrest of the suspect identified as Allan Catalan, although his name always figured in the police watch list as an alleged Level 2 pusher.
A Level 2 pusher can dispose of at least 200 grams up to a kilo of shabu in a week, said the policeman.
Delos Santos said the raiding team was armed with a search warrant issued by judge Simeon Dumdum Jr., and arrived at the place at about 3:25 p.m.
But Delos Santos admitted that their asset had it wrong because when they arrived at the area, they were told they were already late and the bigger shabu stock was already with Catalan's mother who had already left.
The police allegedly got from Catalan's possession a big pack of shabu, P18,570 in cash believed to be drug money, three mobile phones with SIM packs, and drug sniffing paraphernalia. - Ryan P. Borinaga
