The man, who wore a pair of gray slacks, dark polo shirt, and leather shoes, was identified through his identification card as Maynard Saa, 33. His address could not still be ascertained because the documents found in his wallet only revealed that he had worked in Dubai before.
Witnesses said his attackers followed Saa when he went out of Ponce Compound.
When the police arrived, Saa was already dead. PO3 Bobby Escarlan believed the victim had struggled before he was shot because there were powder burns in his left arm.
Escarlan believed the victim could have been mistaken for a policeman or a police asset keeping watch on drug pushers in the area.
Saa's body now lies at San Fernando Funeral Homes. - Ryan P. Borinaga
