Cracking your Knuckles will cause Arthritis

CEBU, Philippines - Considered to be one of modern medicine's more popular medical myths, different doctors and healthcare professionals have had their say over the factual basis of developing Arthritis due to habitual knuckle cracking, with a published study conducted by a Donald Unger MD being the most notable.

Awarded the Ig Nobel Prize* in Medicine in 2009, Unger's study was featured in the Arthritis and Rheumatism journal in 1998, where Unger revealed that he had been habitually cracking his left hand's knuckles for 50 years, leaving his right hand's knuckles "uncracked".

After 50 years, Unger remained Arthritis-free - on both hands - and went on and had his study published, proving his point.
