Coltrans turns 25

CEBU, Philippines - Realizing the need for a dependable freight forwarding company that could facilitate access to the global marketplace, the driven Bobby Joseph and his siblings founded Columbia Transport (also known as Coltrans Cargo Philippines) in 1986.

Starting with only three employees, the company today has over 50 regular staff and over 80 contractuals.

Its corporate name is always preceded by the company's reputation for developing innovative services designed to satisfy the different logistic requirements of the business community.

Recently, Coltrans celebrated 25 years of forwarding service with a delightful dinner at the ballroom of the Marriott Hotel which was attended by family, relatives and loyal employees.

Towards the end of a sumptuous meal, Robby, son of Bobby and Ida Joseph, and Deedee Ledonio, president of Coltrans, took to the stage and called on employees who have loyally served the company through the years. They received substantial monetary assistance for their dedication and selfless commitment.

Among the awardees were Antonio Maurat, 26 years,Veneracion Catacutan, 24 years, Lydia Duquesa Ledonio Mallari, Ricardo Estrada, Tita Empenida, Willie Apa and Jesus Osorio, 17 years, Jonathan Alcantara and Fred Ares, 16 years, Evangeline Cuadra, Anna Lizza Caringal, and Maricel Beso, 15 years, Janice Manghi, 14 years, Gilvy Lao, Herbert Galindez and Julianito Oribe 13 years, Anavelyn Salut, Reny Ofalla and Jackwell Toleos, 12 years, Edward Cabalza and Alex Guerrero, 11 years, Ramon Puning and Willie Panganiban, 10 years.  

In his closing remarks, Bobby Joseph reiterated the company's commitment to provide service excellence at reasonable cost to its clients. He likewise pledged long-term beneficial relationship with the staff, clients, partners and to the communities where they serve as they strive for continued improvement. (FREEMAN)
