Valentine thanksgiving @ Mr. A

CEBU, Philippines - Over 500 diners took part in the 2012 Valentine’s dinner cum thanksgiving dinner buffet pegged at P475 per person at Mr. A Bar & Restaurant last Tuesday.

Despite a slight problem in parking spaces in the early evening because of the flow of vehicles, patrons were willing to wait (and even walk uphill for a short distance) to celebrate in what general manager Alvin Alazas called as his “way of thanking customers for pushing us to come this far.”

“We’re already on our 15th year of serving our customers, from hearty meals to great wines and of course pastries and other products in our coffee shop, bisan og tuyo-on among place but they still keep coming back. For this, we are very grateful,” Alazas said.

On the playlist of Kenosis Band that night was a selection of all-time fave love songs to complement a perfect place to spend a heartfelt evening with loved ones.

Matriarch of the house, Mrs. Gloria Alazas, also graced the event to supervise the buffet table with great grandson, Eaton.

For entree: lechon, roast calf, breaded fish fillet with two sauces, beef ribs with garbanzos, shanghai lumpia, chao pa chin, chicken garlic barbecue, lengua estofada, and egg noodles with seafoods.

Salad station featured honey mustard salad and chicken potato salad.

Mango pandan, mixed fruits, maja ube, and pound cake were up for dessert.
