Baby Talk

We are always eager for our little ones to begin talking. Babies first communicate by smiling, cooing, babbling and kicking – all part of the development towards learning how to speak. If children are raised in a normal, emotionally healthy environment, then they will learn even faster. But its true that all you need to do is act on your loving instincts.

1. Communicate with your baby like a “little” adult even during his/her early stages in life. Your baby will eventually relate the words to your gestures.

2. Play with your baby and make up the silliest of games. It’s the best way to keep your baby amused and learn the importance of sociability.

3. Singing can also be a wonderful way to “talk” to your baby. If your baby is too young to understand the words, he or she will learn through the tunes and rhymes.

4. You are your baby’s first and most natural teacher. By teaching your little one the words that mean well is the best language lesson.

5. Best of all, love your baby unconditionally. If your baby enjoys spending time with you, then you should know that you are doing it right. Never forgetting that your presence and most especially your voice will mean comfort to them.
