Charity for those who truly need help

Today, October 16, the officers and members of the Catholic Volunteers for Charity Movement of Guadalupe Parish headed by Msgr. Jose Montecillo will hold a Rosary Crusade going to the southern part of Cebu to distribute 500 rosaries through the parish priest of Boljoon.

It was a sunny morning when we were comfortably seated inside the car, on our way to Panaghiusa Chapel located at Guadalupe Parish church. The CVCM were warmly welcomed by chapel president Nelson Arnoco and coordinator Mario Jasarino. The CVCM officers and members hosted a feeding program for 200 children and distributed clothes to fire victims. The group was composed of CVCM founder Coring Valencia, Myrna Cuizon, Pat Macabenta, CVCM president, Wilfredo and Paz Gallardo, Nobio and Estela Brobo, Trining Modina, Engr. Ester Acero, Cris Davide, Nito Flores, Bobby Diaz, and this writer.

A morning civil wedding ceremony culminated the storybook romance of Jumar S. Alolor and Rachalle Mae S. Rosales. The bride is the lovely daughter of Nicandro and Angelita Rosales, while the groom is the son of Julito and Marivic Alolor. Judge Francisco Seville Jr. officiated in the civil ceremony.
