Dinner at The Acqua
Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa General Manager Joachim Schutte hosted an Italian dinner for a few media friends to meet the hotel’s new Italian Chef Marco Ghezzi.
Chef Marco joins Shangri-La Cebu’s team of international chefs. A native of Milan, Marco is backed by more than 16 years of professional culinary experience. He has worked for several iconic establishments in Italy, including Restaurant Trigabolo — famous for being one of the restaurants to introduce Nouvelle Italian Cuisine. Prior to joining Shangri-La Mactan 4th quarter of 2010, Marco was sous chef at the Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan, Italy.
Chef Marco is tasked with leading the kitchen of Acqua, Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa’s award-winning Italian Restaurant. Guests who regularly dine at Acqua can also look forward to a new set of fresh and innovative dishes by Chef Marco monthly.
Anyway, on the evening Chef Marco was presented to us, he prepared and lavished upon us his marvelous Italian recipes, and his food presentation was out of this world. We loved all the food he prepared for us, especially the desserts. We were impressed no end, and we look forward to seeing Chef Marco Ghezzi one of these days!
