CEBU, Philippines - The first day of the official month of summer was given a welcome blast through a kick-off party at Mango Square for the 7th installment of San Miguel Pale Pilsen's "Sarap Mag Babad." If you sight a giant ice glacier with an embedded mock-up of San Miguel Pale Pilsen Beer installed at the venue, that's their giant way of staking claim as the official beer of summer.
This year becomes even more exciting with San Miguel Brewery, Inc. holding for the first time a photo-essay contest dubbed as "Pics Mo, Freeze Mo Sa Summer" which was launched that evening in grand fashion via a line-up of local bands, upbeat dance numbers, a bikini prix and a sizzling bevy of fire dancers.
Beer-drinkers cum photography enthusiasts are urged to snap fun shots with the San Miguel Pale Pilsen beer and win prizes, including a trip for four to the ultimate summer destination of Boracay, cash and other cool items.
Participants must answer the question "Ano'ng gagawin mo pag nakakita ka ng ice glacier na may San Miguel Pale Pilsen?" (What will you do if you see an ice glacier with a giant San Miguel Pale Pilsen?) in an essay that should not exceed 100 words. The photos, which must not exceed 2MB, can portray one either alone or with a group of friends with San Miguel Pale Pilsen in any summer destination. Deadline of submissions is on April 30.
Photoshop or use of other photograph-enhancing programs is allowed. Entries should be a minimum of three and a maximum of eight photos, to be submitted atwww.san miguelpalepilen.com.ph/summerbabadphoto.
