Tacos Al Pastor At Maya

CEBU, Philippines - Maya, Cebu’s premier Mexican restaurant and evening hotspot introduces a new Northern Mexican dish to the Cebuano palate – tacos al pastor.

Similar to shawarma, the Middle Eastern sandwich-like wrap, but pork-based instead of lamb, tacos al pastor is a meticulously prepared taco that is easy to eat and full on flavor. The pork is marinated for over a day with dried chilies and then cooked with a gas flame on a vertical spinning rotisserie. The meat becomes very tender, and is then thinly sliced, and served on tortillas with onions, cilantro, pineapple and salsa and a dash of lime juice.

Just like all other taco varieties served in Maya, the taco al pastor is handmade with 100 percent imported corn masa tortillas, and filled only with the freshest local ingredients. Wash this hearty taco down with Maya’s infamous mojitos and margaritas, best known for making you feel good and other people look better.

Maya introduces tacos al pastor in late September, and will be available on Friday and Saturday evenings at P260 for a set of 3 from 6PM to 10PM, and only P50 per taco after 10PM.
