Christmas Shopping Village at Shangri-La's Mactan Resort and Spa

CEBU, Philippines - This Christmas season, Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa is delighted to bring an exceptional holiday shopping experience to Cebu at its Christmas Shopping Village.

From November 17 to January 2, 2009, the Shangri-La Mactan Christmas Village will be open daily to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Situated at the resort lobby, guests will step into a magical world when they enter a quaint holiday community bursting with activity. Each of the 12 houses in the village is a special store showcasing one-of-a-kind gift items and special Christmas treats.

The spirit of sharing and gift-giving is symbolized by a giant gift box in the Christmas Village. Guests, employees of the resort and merchants are all encouraged to drop a gift inside the gift, whether in cash or in kind for the less fortunate children of the Soong Dumpsite through the help of the Cebu Missionary Foundation and the children of Barangay Tingo Elementary School.

Vendors include Toys at Work, offering an assortment of educational and recreational play items, Arden Classic, featuring unique and decorative household items made from shells. Ruby Zanetti offers hand crafted Murano glass from Italy shaped into jewelry with intricate designs. At Impressione, guests can create one-of-a-kind accessories with the assistance of their skilled staff. Carmen’s Linen has a wide array of hand woven cloth items and shell accessories. Colorful lamps, decorative frames and sculptures are available at Finali while Italkarat has an assortment of silver items such as jewelry, figurines and Christmas ornaments. A special Christmas line of accessories is available at Avatar and Premium Concept’s booth is filled with miniature Christmas Villages and unique gift items. Tambuli products on sale include for-export-only decorative figurines and statues.
