CEBU, Philippines - Waterfront Mactan and Waterfront Cebu City Hotel held their Christmas tree lighting activities last November 25 and 27, respectively with different themes.
Waterfront Mactan had a Venetian-themed Christmas celebration with enchanting music from the Marigondon Children’s Violin. Live mannequins, men on stilts and magicians provided more entertainment. Children from the Cebu Missionary Foundation also had fun creating masks, while some enjoyed dressing up the Venetian-way. The winner of the costume contest took home an overnight stay at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.
Waterfront Cebu City Hotel, meanwhile, chose gold to be the color of their Christmas trees and decorations this year. An opulent Christmas, said Waterfront’s Maebelle Varron. GM Marco Protacio led in the lighting of the Christmas trees, along with Philip Rodriguez, Teresin Mendezona, Lee Jennie, founder and head of Adam Jennie’s Christian Center for Special Children and Dara, one of the kids from the Center. The Fidelis Choir, with their angelic voices, provided music during the ceremony. – Quennie S. Bronce
