CEBU, Philippines - The Macau Government Tourist Office –Philippines (MGTO), in cooperation with Las Palmas Tours and Travel, is launching a photo contest for Philippine residents going to Macau to watch the exciting Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix (MGP) to be held on November 19-22, 2009. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three winners who submit entries which depict MGP pre-race build-up activities and/or scenes from the races themselves, set against the dramatic backdrop of Macau and the Guia Circuit – a 3.8 mile street circuit with an exhilarating combination of long, fast straights and sharply twisting corners. This circuit is recognized as one of the most demanding circuits in the world.

Aside from the cash prizes, winning entries will be exhibited at The Block, SM North EDSA from December 4-6, 2009, in conjunction with MGTO’s photo essay exhibit entitled “Macau’s East West Heritage and Culture.”
This year’s MGP, now on its 56th year, will also feature the prestigious FIA World Touring Car Championship and the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix which will feature new talents from Europe, the U.S. and Asia. Veterans like Stuart Easton, John McGuinness and Michael Rutter will be back this year as part of the top-notch team of competitors.
