Honey's book launched

A month ago, The Philippine Star and The FREEMAN Lifestyle writer Honey Jarque Loop had her coffee table book, entitled “The Ladies of Cebu” launched at the Casino Español. Guests of honor on the day of the launch were Governor Gwen Garcia and Honey’s mother Sra. Adela Jarque. Also present was her publisher Daniel Carpentier and a special guest, pianist par excellence, Ingrid Sala Santamaria who played some masterpieces of yore.

The book, The Ladies of Cebu, features some 200 ladies of different nationalities, but mostly Cebuanas. We thought at first that the afternoon gathering was an all-ladies affair. Of course, Honey’s loving husband Glenn was there to support her, and three special gentlemen who gave their own interpretations and opinions of what ladies are. And for this, they were given the loudest applause.

To Honey, congratulations for your maiden issue. Hopefully, there will be more coming!
