Brought to you by Manila Jaycees Inc, Asia’s first and premier leadership development organization, in cooperation with Zugbuana Jaycees, the leading all-ladies JCI chapter in the Philippines, the 2009 Best Business Plan Competition is the most prestigious business competition with a goal of motivating undergraduate students, young professionals and entrepreneurs below the age of 40 years old, to compose a business plan that involves a significant impact to society. The most innovative, most viable, and most feasible business concept from the region will go on to compete in the national level, wherein if declared winner, will go on to compete in theBest Business Plan Competition of the World in the 4th quarter of 2009.

The winning concept from various colleges, universities and aligned organizations gets a chance to win the grand monetary prize at the international level. In the years 2004, 2005 and 2006, the Philippines’ entry to the World Congress bested out from among 100 other entries from different countries. And in a testament to Filipino ingenuity and intelligence, the Philippines’ representative to last year’s 2008 Best Business Plan Competitionof the World held at the JCI World Congress in New Delhi, India, took the first prize once again. The business plan Ecobuilders Inc. of students from Ateneo de Manila came home with the prize of US $5,000.

Last years’ regional finals was held at the Night Talk Lounge of Club Ultima, with the University of San Jose Recoletos’ team winning on their Jatropha Curcas (Tuba-Tuba) business plan.
