Second Docfit Run

CEBU, Philippines - Cebu was well represented in the 2nd DOCFIT Run last March 1 at the UP Diliman Campus. This is the biggest running event for Medical Doctors. More than 200 MDs registered for the event. Dr. Yong Larrazabal improved his ranking from 3rd place last year (47 minutes 47 seconds) to 2nd place this time with a personal best time (44 minutes 42 seconds). Last year’ winner (46 minutes 7 seconds) improved his time to (43 minutes 25 seconds) to defend his title.

Other Cebuano doctors who joined were Dr. Alex Junia (1hour 3minutes), Dr. Michael Tabaloc (49 minutes 30 seconds), and 3 time marathoner Dr. Peter Mancao (5k – 30 minutes 21 seconds). They were joined by trainer Charlie Berberio and Dr. Yong’s wife, Donna Larrazabal, who joined the 10k race for the first time and surprised everyone with a time of 57 minutes 34 seconds. They promised to be back next year with a vengeance.
