Filipino Choir wins International '08 Chorale Competition

Three of our Filipino choirs won gold medals in the recent Busan International Choral competition last November 11-15. The Cebu Chamber Singers, under the brilliant tutelage of Maestro Dennis Gregory Sugarol, won gold and bronze medals for the mixed and folklore categories, respectively.

The UP Vocal Ensemble won gold and bronze medals for folklore and mixed categories, and the Capitol University Glee Club won first in the popular music category.

Dennis Gregory Sugarol hails from Lilo-an, whose humble beginnings were catapulted to fame with his works at the Mandaue City School for the Arts, his past wins in several chorale competitions and the Cebu Metro Pop Music Festival in 2006. Today he holds his own chorale trainings in his music studio in Mandaue.

Mabuhay ang korong Pinoy! Mabuhi ang korong Sugbuanon!
