With the Post-Test hanging around during finals, first year PE studs scamper for their notes in a final check, a feat to check and improve physical prowess through exercises, faced with the challenge determined by (maybe) unsatisfactory results of their Pre-test during the first quarter of the school semester.
To make it sensibly edible for the layman, what we are talking about here are developmental exercises that improve physical deficiencies after taking their Physical Fitness Pre-test - a requirement when one enrolls in PE 1. Call it Physical Fitness or Self-testing Activities as a course description, both may mean the same. The course ends up with a Post-test, that which finally checks the improvements of the components of physical fitness (endurance, power, flexibility, agility, coordination, balance, speed, strength, etc.), only preceded with developmental activities that improves such components.
In the process, aerobics has been made into a fun dance competition as a culminating activity for all PE freshmen of CSCST Main Campus. Developmental exercises inspired aerobics exhibitions added with the flare and style of the young generation that made it appear fresh and innovative.
As a result, thirty-four sections came up with their own interpretation and originality. In the end, performance was a determining factor for the win.
Mrs. Rosalinda Racaza, PE Coordinator of the said school, was amazed of the quick response of the students who were only given a brief two weeks’ notice for the dance competition.
Despite the close call and eleventh-hour rehearsals, the students pulled off their routines with great confidence. Thus, the culmination last October 5 at the school’s Kasadyaan Gym with a blast. Congratulations to the winners.
