Have you gone out of recreational options to get your adrenaline pumping during the weekend?
Have your lazy Saturdays become monotonous watching movies and television series while pigging out on popcorn and junk food? Fret not, folks! Your R&R options have now gone wet and wild!
Cebu is one of the country’s tropical island destinations and, to keep tourists busy, adventure tourism is keeping up with the demands of times. Since Cebu is rich with marine resources, water sports has become famous among locals and tourists, hence the inception of Jetscape Adventures.
Jetscape Adventures, Inc. president Alex Roa loves jetski touring and would spend much time with his friends who are equally interested with the hobby. Then came a time when he finally decided to venture on the jetski touring business, and last September 25 Jetscape Adventures was formally launched.
Jetscape will take you and your barkada/family to a one of a kind island hopping adventure, discovering some of Cebu’s secluded islets while on board the Yamaha Waverunner. While jetski rentals are as good as an hour of bliss, Jetscape however, changes the tide by providing at least three hours of splashing experience. From Cebu Yacht Club in MEPZ 1, Lapu-Lapu City, you cruise though Magellan Bay, cross the Gilutongan Channel toward Olango Island, then head to Cao-oy for lunch (which includes the catch of the day such as lobsters). Nalusuan Island is simply irresistible to miss, as well. The convoy continues to Gilutongan Island for snorkeling. Gilutongan’s marine sanctuary is a breathtaking scene. A quick stop at Sulpa for some sunbathing then follows and, as the ride reaches its end, you’ll view Mactan’s eastern coastline then circle back to the northern tip of Mactan and head back to the jump off point.
Jetscape ensures your safety, of course, to suspend your worries. A 24-foot chaseboat that serves as a floating lounge and back-up transport is always on convoy. A standard tour includes a half-day tour onboard the Waverunner with chaseboat, a pretty good meal, refreshments, island fees, use of snorkeling gears and US Coastguard approved Personal Floatation Device. Private party bookings are welcome for a minimum of six guests onboard the boat, inclusive of lunch.
At present, there are three jetskis available for the tour. Each jetski can accommodate two riders; while the boat can accommodate six to eight passengers. Whenever your weekend feels bland, then just cut through the waves!
