Frank took the country by storm, literally and Pacquiao scored his fourth world boxing belt were among the many headliners last month, making another mark in history. And while national history was in the making, Cebu’s social scene was in its usual grind. A grand opening of very “fab”-oulos restaurant, a highly-anticipated golf tourney and tons of birthday celebrations ended the year’s first semester with lots of good old-fashioned and memorable fun.

Even just at its soft open, Chic and Fab Fashion Café already gained popularity as the newest and trendiest diner in the city. For its grand opening, attended by some of the city’s fabulous, Chic and Fab treated guests with what they have best to offer: good food and shopping! A mini-fashion show featuring the latest prêt-a-porter from Bangkok and food parade highlighted the affair. Congratulations!

Meanwhile, non-stop rains did not keep golf enthusiasts from scoring a hole in the second Y101 Corporate Cup held at the Cebu Country Club. For a couple of days, lovers of the game both from the city and visiting players still managed to putt-it-out against heavy showers and they conquered. The biggest winner of course is Cebu’s “always-first” station for mounting yet another successful tournament. I’m hoping for a Team Freeman next year.

Filling up the calendar were numerous birthdays celebrations of friends and more friends. Whether on a weekend or weekday, rain or no rain, how could I say no? It’s a party. Cheers!
