In its quest to serve unique dishes to its customers, Kitsarap Food Express—Your Neighborhood Fastfood was formally opened last May 7 under the management of Mr. Resty Esponilla (one of the owners of the renowned Triple V Express Fastfood Restaurant located at SM City Cebu).
Kitsarap Food Express is also under the Gintong Kusina Company together with Sinangag Express and RR Convenience products owned and managed by Esponilla who was present during the opening.
Various mouthwatering dishes were served during the fun lunch. There were some delicious pasta that I would like have loved to taste but I was busy with their crunchy lumpia shanghai along with a delicious soup and their tasty iced tea. And I will never forget the most satisfying leche flan I have ever tasted, only at Kitsarap Food Express.
During the interview, Esponilla stated that he is not worried by competition, as long as they serve unique and quality food. It is after all the choice of the customers. Kitsarap offers a lot of choices to go beyond the usual. They serve different menus everyday: Filipino Oriental, Chinese Menu – “Chinese New Dish”, Japanese Menu dubbed as “Oishi Japanese Dish”, and Continental fare (one day at a time).
He added that there is no other concept like this where an ordinary employee can well afford a great meal. For an average amount of P60 - P75, one can have a satisfying meal that includes rice and soft drinks.
Food serving does not only end at lunchtime, it continues until night, but another menu takes over the counter. For dinner, they serve ala carte food, Sizzling Sinugba and other hot dishes such as bulalo, puchero, batchoy, arroz caldo and more. Due to increasing demand for food at night especially during wee hours, soup definitely is a favorite. They also serve soup at lunch, though.
