Krua Thai has prepared a new vegetarian menu just for you. Choose any of these enticing dishes; two kinds of appetizers: Vegetarian Spring Rolls and Fried Tofu-four kinds of soup: Vegetarian Tom Yum with Tofu, Vegetarian Coconut Milk Soup with Tofu, Vegetables in Green Curry Soup with Tofu and Vegetables in Yellow Curry Soup with Tofu; nine main courses or entrees: Vegetarian Fried Rice, Tofu in Sweet and Sour Sauce, Tofu with Cashew Nuts in Chili Sauce, Vegetable in Red Curry with Tofu, Mixed Vegetables in Panang Curry with Tofu, Vegetarian Phad Thai, Bean Sprout with Tofu, Sauteed Mixed Vegetable with Tofu and Tofu in Soy Bean Sauce.
According to Krua Thai proprietor, Mr. Anthony Ballereich, these dishes are for a year-round feature and not just for lent. He also said that the idea of having vegetable dishes came after the successful dinner with Thailand's Prime Minister who visited Cebu during the 12th ASEAN Summit.
"Aside from that, many of our guests are requesting for vegetable dishes especially tofu. So to present new dishes we decided to have a vegetable menu. It is for a healthy diet and for wellness," said Ballreich.
Krua Thai has three branches in Cebu-in Banilad Town Center (BTC), SM City Cebu and Marina Mall in Mactan. All three branches feature the cooking prowess of three Thai chefs -the Buphasiri brothers. Chef Natthawut Buphasiri is based in BTC while his brothers Chef Ronnachai Buphasiri and Chef Photheb Buphasiri are in SM and Mactan branches, respectively.
Natthawut Buphasiri is now on his 6th year in Cebu. Before he served Krua Thai, he first worked at Town Hotel in Thailand. After four years of service in the said hotel, Buphasiri was eventually hired here in Cebu and since then, he has provided the metropolis with his mouth-watering Thai dishes.
"Everybody, come and try Thai food. I think Filipinos will love it, too." says Chef Natthawut Buphasiri.
