Soyah! an alternative source of Protein

Milk has been one of the Filipino's primary sources of protein, but due to the current economic conditions, it has become such an expensive commodity. Seeing this dilemma, Mauna Foods Inc., a budding business enterprise, came up with their contribution to solve this problem. Soy Milk, Tokwa and Tofu, flavored soy, soy jelly and the recent addition-yummy cookies made of soy that customers have found appetizing when they visited the company's booth during the Beauty, Health and Wellness Show last Sept. 22-24 at the SM City Trade Hall.

The soy trade has become a passion to business partners Peter Go and his cousin Alberto Uy. According to them, "this business is with a heart. According to Mr. Go, if there was one thing about their product that sets it apart from the rest, it would be that, "we are trying to bring the freshness of soy without the preservatives. It is a dairy alternative-no fats-and is cholesterol free, rich in anti-oxidants called isoflavone to prevent cancer and good for those who have lactose intolerance."
