Dwindled income, but Ai Ai still grateful
LX2 Entertainment Corp., a global entertainment company based in New York, recently opened a branch office in the Philippines. The Manila branch currently deals with artist management and a record label. They have just launched online applications for their international auditions. Currently, they are looking for young actors and singers in the hopes of getting discovered.
Aspiring artists aged 18 and over are welcome to apply and submit their online application, together with two recent unretouched full color photos (close-up and full body), CV/Portfolio, a self-introduction video (must be taken against a white wall from mid torso to top of the head, turn on the right side every five seconds, face the camera and state your name, age, height and city of residence), and the link to your performance video uploaded on YouTube with title 2021 LX2 Entertainment Auditions (do a monologue or sing one a capella song of your choice).
Auditions began Jan. 18 and will run until Feb. 14. Those selected during the initial screening will receive an email invite for a live audition. If you pass, you will undergo an artist development training program provided by the company. The pandemic has caused many to lose their jobs and sources of income. No one was spared. Everyone was affected. One of them is comedienne Ai Ai delas Alas who admitted to having suffered dwindling income but she is still thankful that none of her family members got sick. And they can still eat three square meals a day.
Ai Ai opens 2021 on a good note as her contract for Hobi Bihon and Noodles was renewed. This is her sixth year as endorser of the product and although she did not get an increase in talent fee, she is still thankful. “This is a big blessing for me,” said Ai Ai.
For his part, Mr. Bobby Go, owner of Hobi Bihon, said Ai Ai as endorser helped increase the sales of the product even during the pandemic. That’s why he said Ai Ai will forever be the endorser of Hobi.
After “The Clash” Season 3 wrapped up, Ai Ai reported back to the lock-in taping of “Owe My Love” in Bulacan. They will be in lockdown for 55 days. Once they report to the set, they could no longer go out so that they can contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
Ai Ai plays the owner of La Vida Shop and is the boss of Lovi Poe’s character. Also featured in the series are Benjamin Alves, Winwyn Marquez, Nova Villa, Leo Martinez, Jackielou Blanco, Ruby Rodriguez and a lot of more.
