CEBU, Philippines - Dressed in their festival best, the Cebu media, Cebuano film school students and professors, filmmakers and actors of the recent Cinema One Originals in Cebu as well as Cinema One channel head Ronald Arguelles were all smiles at the successful opening night highlighted by cocktails and screening of local and foreign award-winning film "Ang Damgo Ni Eleuteria" by Remton Zuazola. Excited Cebuanos trooped to the Cinema 3 of the SM City Cebu from February 11 to 16 to catch the featured films. Other Cebuano-made films which were instant hits to the Cebuano movie-goers were “Di Ingon ‘Nato [Not Like Us],” “My Paranormal Romance,” and “Confessional.” Also featured in the filmfest are titles that recently bagged awards in the 2011 Cinema One Originals Festival such as “Six Degrees of Separation from Lilia Cuntapay,” “Cartas de la Soledad,” “Sa Kanto Ng Ulap at Lupa,” “Sa Ilalim ng Tulay,” and “Big Boy.” SM City Cebu and SM Cinema Cebu were the official venue partners of the festival.
