New twists and new timeslot for GMA 7's Amaya
CEBU, Philippines - More surprising twists, thrilling developments and shocking revelations await the televiewers as GMA Network’s high-rating epic series, AMAYA, moves to a new timeslot beginning November 14 right after 24 Oras.
The change in the program’s timeslot not only aims to accommodate more viewers but also to reach out to the students who are the primary audiences of the Kapuso drama.
Topbilled by Primetime Queen Marian Rivera, the pioneering Telebabad offering has only gotten better and doubly exciting after the main heroine gets reunited with her mother Dal’lang (Lani Mercado) while her greatest love Bagani (Sid Lucero) launches a plot to oust the tribe’s leader, Angaway (Ryan Eigenmann).
Linangan (Ayen Munji), on the other hand, falls prey to Lamitan’s (Gina Alajar) wicked schemes. Lamitan double-crosses Linangan on telling Angaway her knowledge of Bagani’s rebellion. Left with no choice but to save her son Bagani, Linangan sets Lamitan free.
Linangan seeks the help of Binayaan (Glaiza de Castro) on making sure that her mother Lamitan will not divulge to Angaway her son’s plan. But Lamitan has a deeper motive in order to win back Angaway’s trust.
In exchange for keeping Bagani’s uprising a secret, Lamitan compels Binayaan to become Angaway’s sandil (second wife). This enrages Binayaan as well as her sister Marikit (Rochelle Pangilinan), but both women know they cannot go against the orders of their devious mother. Will Lamitan succeed on coercing Binayaan to marry the man she greatly abhors?
Under the helm of Director Mac Alejandre, Amaya also stars Aljur Abrenica, Yasmien Kurdi, Irma Adlawan, Ana Capri, Buboy Villar, Sheena Halili, Roxanne Barcelo, Mon Confiado, AJ Dee, Robert Sy, Mia Pangyarihan, Anna Feleo, Angie Ferro, Dion Ignacio, Pancho Magno, Leopoldo Salgado and Edgar Manuel.
Amaya airs weeknights, right after 24 Oras, on GMA Telebabad.
