CEBU, Philippines - Hollywood Nails Beauty Salon and Spa at the second level of The Walk in IT Park embraced the Halloween festivities when its lady specialists and proprietress Gigi Alviola-Connelly got into the spooky Halloween mood by decking out in all black and witch hats.
Mrs. Connelly, a trained beautician and therapist with over 15 years experience in the industry, proudly introduced the recently-added café located right smack inside her salon-cum-spa. Not a lot of similar establishments in Cebu have the convenience of a dining option located right inside where their customers beautify and pamper themselves.
Married to an experienced businessman and British national named Terrence who manages Hollywood Nails with her since they brought it to Cebu in 2007, Mrs. Connelly (a native of Argao) explains that the café concept was brought about by customers who sometimes go hungry while availing of their services that take longer than usual, and their companions who are left with nothing to do while waiting.
In this way, a husband, boyfriend or friend can munch on some of their cakes, muffins, and healthy selection of sandwiches and cold salads --- a flat screen TV in the café should solve their boredom --- while waiting for their companion to finish a hair treatment session or whatnot. Coffee, tea and other drinks are also served.
Stand-outs at Hollywood Nails are their nail art services, their shiatsu massage chair that doubles as a foot spa, and the celebrity-like treatment from the staff and owners. They also offer high-quality hair care and styling, eyelash extensions, RF treatments, barber and male grooming, as well as spa and massage services using the latest equipment imported from the US, Australia and Europe.
Proof that their high quality tag is no mere lip service, Hollywood Nails was awarded this year the distinction of being Cebu ’s "Nail Salon of the Year" by the Business Achievement and Recognition Awards.
