Ariel and Maverick to visit HK OFWs in Totoo TV

CEBU, Philippines - In search for relevant stories to cap its first year today, April 11, Totoo TV invades Hong Kong to look into the day-to-day lives of some 150,000 Filipinos there. Equipped with their unique brand of humor, Ariel and Maverick set foot in Asia’s shopping capital to extend fun and connection to our kababayans who long for their loved ones back in the Philippines. Ariel and Maverick tried to look for Florida Cantoneros, a Filipina domestic helper whose daughter graduated with honors last April 6. As a tribute to her mother’s hardships abroad, the daughter asked Ariel and Maverick to hand Florida the medal she received from her recent graduation.

To demonstrate their genuine “journalistic spirit,” Ariel and Maverick dirtied their bling bling and tried to perform the job of a domestic helper, with the guidance of Florida. The funny tandem got to show their soft side as the experience made them realize the sacrifices OFWs have to go through just to provide for their families.
