CEBU, Philippines - The Sinulog Foundation, Inc., in cooperation with the Cebu City Government and Cebu’s Film Society, presents The Sinulog 2011 Short Film Festival.
The 7th Annual Sinulog Video Documentary and Short Film Competition is on! Filmmakers—amateurs and professionals—are invited to join and present a story of the power of the Holy Child Jesus through film or video.
Deadline of registration has been set to this Friday, Jan. 14, 5pm. Interested parties must be able to submit the following: a duly accomplished application form; a brief resume; and two recent 2x2 photos of the filmmaker/s. There will be a registration fee of P750 upon submission of requirements.
The final produced-entry for the Sinulog 2011 Short Film Festival must be submitted in DVD format on or before Jan. 26, 2011, 5PM, to the Sinulog 2011 Short Film Festival Secretariat.
Prizes at stake for the Best Sinulog Short Film and Best Sinulog Video Docu are:
• Grand Prize: P30,000 each for Video Documentary & Short Film
• Second Prize: P20,000 each for Video Docu & Short Film
• Third Prize: P10,000 each for Video Docu & Short Film
• Ten Consolation Prizes at P 1,000 each (five per category)
Special Awards to be given away are Best Story, Best Director Best Child Performer, Actor/Actress, Supporting Actor/Actress, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Sound Engineering & Musical Scoring; Best Editing; and Best Screenplay.
