PLUS: Acting neophyte Matteo Guidicelli vows to work harder with the success of "Agua Bendita"

Matteo Guidicelli didn’t expect that viewers would enjoy their TV series “Agua Bendita”certainly one of the top-rating shows of ABS-CBN which features Andi Eigenmann in the dual role of Agua and Bendita.

He said people do recognize him whenever he goes out and even little children call him Ronnie, the name of the character he plays in the series directed by Don Cuaresma.

Matteo was surprised when he first learned that he and Andi (who like him is a neophyte in acting, although Andi was a part of “Prinsesa ng Banyera”) were to play important roles in “Agua Bendita”. This was announced to them sometime in January. But he took it as a challenge. His Tagalog was not that good so he had this firm resolve to improve it so he won’t appear awkward in front of the camera.

Now that “Agua Bendita” has been extended until next month, Matteo fells elated that the viewers like their work and vows to work even harder. “I would be sad when this show ends but I will cherish the memories of my co-stars here and the friendships that we developed while doing the show,” said Matteo.

“Diz Is It” may have gone off the air after just a few months since replacing “Sis”, but one of its hosts, Bayani Agbayani, is thankful that GMA-7 chose him to be a part of the comedy series “Jejemom” starring Eugene Domingo. The show premieres tomorrow night on GMA, after “Kaya ng Powers”.

Bayani is now a certified Kapuso star and he’s happy that the network cast him in “Jejemom” wherein he plays as the chief of police.

“Ang maganda rito ay may plano talaga ang network para maalagaan ang career ng kanilang mga contract stars,” said Bayani. He was saddened with the folding up of “Diz Is It” as he and his fellow co-hosts in the show like Ehra Madrigal had already developed a close bond. But he’s hopeful they’ll get the chance to work together again.

“Pero excited ako sa ‘Jejemom’ kasi ibinabalik ng GMA 7 ang mga sitcom. Magpatawa naman tayo,” said Bayani, who added that he’s also happy at the opportunity to work with Eugene, the hottest comedienne on TV right now. (THE FREEMAN)
