For Sarah, it's time to break another record in Cebu

CEBU, Philippines - These days, only few local music artists can fill up the Big Dome. One of them is Sarah Geronimo who can very well assume the Concert Queen throne after staging her fourth and most recent full-house concert late of 2009.

With the 21-year-old young lady’s impressive track record of four sold-out concerts in Araneta, world-class performances in three continents, of being named five-time Artist of the Year and back-to-back Concert Performer of the Year, today’s hottest young superstar and certified record-breaking concert diva will deliver another show-stopping concert here in Cebu this July 30 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino, aptly billed as Record Breaker.

Her featured guest performers are Prince of Pop Eric Santos, British Got Talent young singing sensation Charlie Green, Cebu’s very own Jimmy Marquez, and the G-force Dancers.

Expect the concert to follow the tradition of her previous Record Breaker shows in Manila and overseas. Take for example late last year’s Record Breaker in Araneta: everything about the concert was huge and high-energy: the number of attendees; the video walls, one of which served as the backdrop of the stage; Sarah’s voice; and the expectations of thousands of fans that flocked to the Coliseum.

The success of her Manila concert and the succeeding ones actually proved that she is currently the biggest pop star on the local music scene and she can safely secure that position in the years to come because of her ability and power to stay relevant.

We had seen her mature before our very own eyes, growing into a truly complete package and total performer. You name it—she can dance, sing, and even act.

Proof of the latter is her mega box-office success when she finally ventured into acting through “A Very Special Love” and “You Changed My Life,” which became of the top-grossing films of all time. She also sang the theme songs of the said movies, which also top charts and broke records.

Her management, Viva, has indeed found a gold mine in her, and this is because Sarah can deliver.

Like in her previous concerts, her Record Breaker concert in Cebu will showcase Sarah as a dancing diva. Also expect a dose of nostalgia with her first hits like “Forever’s Not Enough,” “To Love You More,” and “How Could You Say You Love.”

Lastly, expect the entire concert to bring out the best in Sarah Geronimo’s enviable talent. A talent that even the industry’s finest could no longer ignore. In fact, Regine Velasquez must have seen in Sarah the next big female artist in the industry. It was reported that Regine gave her a pearl necklace, which showbiz pundits took as a sign that the Songbird has found her likely successor.

Truly so, Record Breaker is an appropriate title for Sarah Geronimo’s mid-year concert at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino – Grand Ballroom on July 30, 2010.  Early last year, she had a big and successful concert in Cebu, but her forthcoming show is poised to be a whole lot bigger and to break new records.

Record Breaker is produced by JCI Metro Cebu Uptown in celebration of their 25th year anniversary and is presented by Globe Tattoo. Tickets are available at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, Ayala and SM Customer Service Counters at P1,950 - Gold (reserved), Silver - P1,300 and Bronze - P650.
