The rains would no longer be a problem for those who are going to watch the “As 1: The Repeat Concert” featuring Concert King Martin Nievera and Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano. In case it rains, the Araneta Coliseum is the perfect shade—a big, imposing, and strong edifice that not even a very strong typhoon could topple.
Unlike last year when As 1 was held in an open field (MOA Concert Grounds), this time the Big Dome has been chosen as the venue, perfect to accommodate the fans of Martin and Gary (Gary and Martin).
The concert happens on July 16, with Gary and Martin being joined by their sons Paolo and Gab (for Gary) and Robin and Ram (for Martin).
This concert, which was first mounted last year, became a grand musical event witnessed by a mammoth crowd. For sure, the repeat of As 1 at the Araneta will be as spectacular and grandiose.
Even in the States, the concert was sold-out in the entire 15-city tour it had, as attested by Anna Puno, their producer.
For sure, those who missed As 1 last year would be dying to see it this time around. And we are not discounting the possibility that those who saw it last year wouldn’t mind seeing it again.

The entry of Queenie Padilla to showbizlandia was eventful. Everyone was abuzz with the entry of Queenie to the cast of “Momay” which airs everyday on ABS-CBN.
Coinciding with her introduction as a “Kapamilya” star is the controversy involving her dad Robin Padilla and “Wowowee” mainstay Mariel Rodriguez.
Now that the issue between Robin and Mariel is dying down, here comes this showbiz item that Queenie is playing sweet music with her “Momay” screen partner EJ Falcon. But many eyebrows were raised when it was revealed that the closeness of Queenie and EJ is just for show. Queenie said it herself that her loveteam with EJ is just for on-camera purposes.
“Di po totoo iyon, joke lang po iyon,” said Queenie when she was interviewed at the showbiz talk show Juicy on TV5.
Is this the reason why her loveteam with EJ in “Momay” is not being hyped up? Many viewers have noticed that there’s hardly a scene involving the two. This was contrary to the expectations of many that EJ and Queenie would have more scenes together to drumbeat their tandem. They were supposed to be built up as the newest loveteam of the ABS-CBN network.

Viewers has put ABS-CBN’s newest primetime series, “Noah,” on the top spot as it earned a high rating of 39.9 on its pilot episode last Monday, according to the Kantar Media (formerly Taylor-Nelson Sofres) nationwide ratings data. Its rival program under the same timeslot got a 21.9 rating which only landed in the 8th spot in the top 20 programs nationwide.
Tessie Tomas, who breathes life to Piolo Pascual’s mother in “Noah” felt proud after learning the good news. “It really feels good to be a part of ‘Noah’ Lalo na ngayon na maganda ang reception ng tao. Nakaka-proud ang pakiramdam,” the versatile actress shared. “And I’m surrounded by creative and beautiful people, not to mention, professional, kaya di naman talaga ako worried sa ratings kasi I can see firsthand how the scenes are executed at magaling naman talaga.”
