The multi-awarded University of the Visayas Chorale is set to perform in tonight’s fellowship dinner for the delegates of the 6th International Tourism Forum for Parliamentarians and Local Authorities (ITF-PLA), organized by the United Nations-World Tourism Organization. The fellowship night at the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) highlights the “Best of Cebu”—a night of world-class performers. Since their return from their successful World Youth Day-themed concert tour in Australia last July, the UV Chorale has been invited to exclusively sing in several high-profile religious, cultural and media events in Cebu such as Argao’s 400 years of township; Garbo sa Sugbo Awards, 14th Press Freedom Week opening, among others. Cebu Archbishop Ricardo Cardinal Vidal also specially requested the choir’s founder Dr. Jose “Dodong” Gullas, whose wife, Nena, sits as the choir manager, for the chorale to be its guest during the visit of Vatican official Msgr.
