Step into the all-new Tokyo Snack Bar & Restaurant

Ever wanting to feel the Japanese way of spending the night away with good food, drinks, and karaoke? Then hop now to Tokyo Snack Bar & Restaurant in Jakosalem street, beside its sister company Club Temptation.

This newest bar in town has just been opened last week, and according to its manager Gina Bisnar, it is so far doing good judging by the number of customers that go here every night from 7PM to 3AM.

"We believe that there is a market for this concept," said Bisnar, while explaining that Tokyo offers a different kind of entertainment of which is not found at Club Temptation.

The sound of the snack bar''s name is so Japanese; it is to cater primarily to the Japanese guests or visitors who long to have this kind of place that is rarely seen in Cebu. However, Bisnar said the door is also open to non-Japanese patrons-in fact, they hired waitresses and attendants who can speak a variety of languages that include Japanese, Korean, and English.

So when a customer sits in one of the many couches in the spacious area of Tokyo, there is already a feel of that Japanese-kind of entertainment in the area. And for a cheap price, said Bisnar.

The entrance is free, while the food, despite its international flavor (for the foreign nationals), and drinks are priced "very reasonably," according to the club manager. "We are 50 percent cheaper compared to other bars," she added. And their customers need not worry of their safety once inside the bar as the management has tapped at least four guards to watch over the place both at the parking area and inside the establishment.

And for those who enjoy singing the karaoke, a sound system of "high quality" is installed inside. They can sing along throughout the night and worry nothing but the food and drinks they have consumed since the place does not charge for the use of its karaoke system, stressed Bisnar.

Meanwhile, its sister establishment which turned one year last February, Club Temptation is going very strong, disclosed the lady manager. "We are so far the best and the biggest in this city. The best because we have the customers," claimed Bisnar.

Customers, who are mostly foreigners, come to Club Tempt to drink, eat and enjoy the shows that the club offers. One of the must-sees here is the "special show" that happens on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. This special show showcases body painting, a variety show, ethnic dancing, modern dancing, among others. But Bisnar clarified that these shows are "wholesome." They want to maintain their reputation of giving adult entertainment that does not go overboard, said Bisnar.

"Club Temptation is wholesome," stressed Bisnar.

The club''s second floor is for those who solely like to spend the night playing billiards, the darts, or just drinking while watching the live feed of international sports on television.

Guests also don''t have to worry of their safety as according to Bisnar the club does not tolerate trouble.

"We have a very tight security. We always check everyone who comes inside the place, and we also have guards inside the club," said Bisnar.

Club Tempt and Tokyo Snack Bar & Restaurant are just beside each other, so if you get tired of singing at Tokyo, you can always skim your way to the next door (entrance is for free) for a different type of entertainment. Whichever way that favors your taste, just sit down and enjoy.
