Former PBA player is now an actor and lay minister

I knew Allan Abelgas way back when he was still young. He is the son of one of the most respected (and feared?) scriptwriter-directors and broadcasters from the sixties to the seventies. His father was the late Larry Abelgas, who also composed the Metro Cebu Popular Music Festival grand prize winning song entitled, Langit Ug Yuta.
Allan never thought that this song will also make him a television star, because this is now the title of the TV series which will be aired hopefully not only over the local network, Cebu Catholic Television Network. If plans do not miscarry, it will also be shown nationwide by a big network.
Allan admits that after being tired of being a philandering husband during his heydays as a popular PBA player, he turned to the Lord, and became a member of the Oasis Of Love. Later on, he served the Church as a lay minister. Luckily for him, his wife and children never left him during his time of crisis.
Langit Ug Yuta, penned for television by former staff member of The FREEMAN, Sister Stella Palomo M., is directed no less by the nationally acclaimed director, Emmanuel Borlaza, and also stars among others, Jason Jabonero, the amiable and good-looking Andrie Badayos, Josephus Caballes, Ester Alferez, Apples Toledo and, Sheila Mae Irazabal, among many others.
