Sinulog 2006 video documentary tilt is on

Sinulog Foundation in cooperation with Cebu City Government and Cebu Filmmakers' Society presents "The Sinulog 2006 Video Documentary Competition."
All filmmakers are invited to join the Video Documentary Competition of the Philippines' well-attended religious celebration, considered as "Mother of All Festivals" in the southern part of this country, the Sinulog Festival! Participants will have the chance to win fabulous prizes that include the grand prize of P30,000, second prize of P20,000, third prize of P10,000 plus seven consolation prizes of P1,000.
Criteria for judging include 30% for Technicality (Cinematography - 10%, Audio - 10%, and editing - 10%); another 30% for Creativity (Originality - 10%, Style - 10%, and Direction - 10%) and 40% for overall content, totaling to 100%.
Guidelines of the contest are as follows:
All filmmakers are eligible to join the Sinulog 2006 Video Documentary Competition - the commercial or non-commercial, both amateurs and professionals.
Interested parties must be able to accomplish and/or submit the following, on or before January 10, 2006, Tuesday, 5pm, to the Sinulog Secretariat:
a. A duly accomplished application form
b. A brief resume
c. Two (2) recent 2x2 photos of the filmmaker-representative of the applicant group
Registration of Five Hundred Pesos (P500) should be paid upon submission to the above-mentioned requirements.
Official IDs will be provided by the Sinulog Foundation Office and should be worn at all times by the participant/s while doing the actual production shoot for your convenience and proper identification.
The final produced-entry for the Sinulog 2006 Video Documentary Competition must be submitted in DVD or VCD format on or before January 23, 2006, 5pm, to the Sinulog Secretariat.
The entries should be labeled properly with the following information:
a. Title of the Video Documentary
b. Production company (if any)
c. Full name of the director
d. Full name of the producer
e. Contact numbers of the filmmakers
f. Running time
The preferred running time of the documentary should be anywhere from the minimum of fifteen (15) minutes, to a maximum of forty-five (45) minutes.
All qualified participants will be required to attend a half-day briefing with the Sinulog 2006 Video Documentary Competition Committee at the Sinulog Foundation Office on January 12, 2006, 2-5pm.
Ten (10) finalists will be chosen among the qualified entries.
Those who have submitted their finished product will be required to attend the Announcement of Winners and Grand Awarding on January 31, 2006 at SM City Cebu.
The decision of the Board of Judges is deemed to be final and should be regarded with respect and cordiality.
