CEBU, Philippines - Pag–IBIG Fund Cebu North Branch officially opened its new office, the Bogo Service Center in Bogo City, Cebu. Bogo City is 105 kilometers away from its mother branch, the Pag–IBIG Fund Cebu North, thus the new office brings the services of Pag–IBIG Fund closer to its members.
The modest opening ceremony started with the office blessing led by Rev. Fr. Jermaine Lecciones at around 10 in the morning and was followed by messages from the Department Manager of Cebu North Branch, Ms. Jovelita V. Custodio and Bogo City Councilor Hon. Belinda N. Rodriguez.
Aside from the presence of the Department Manager and the Bogo City Councilor, the historic event was also attended by the Assistant Department Manager for Operations Engr. Sulpicio C. Villegas, Regional Trial Court Sheriff Ms. Eva G. Ventic, City Health Officer Dr. Minerva A. Millor, City Assessor Engr. Wenceslao A. Cañete, DepEd Officer Mr. Oswaldo M. Argawanon, DBP Manager Ms. Felicitas M. Ruñez, LBP Manager Ms. Sol Fernandez and staff of the Cebu North Branch.
On its opening day, the Bogo Service Center was able to serve 25 clients concerning printout of contributions, Multi–Purpose Loans, membership verification and receiving of Multi–Purpose Loan applications.
The Bogo Service Center will serve not only members from Bogo but also those from the municipalities of Tabuelan, Borbon, Tabogon, Medellin, San Remegio, Daanbantayan including the three island municipalities of Sta. Fe, Bantayan and Madridejos.
In her speech, Cebu North Branch manager Jovelita V. Custodio said, “We are thankful to the City Government of Bogo through its Mayor, Hon. Celestino Martinez, Jr. for being generous and accommodating.”
In response, Mayor Martinez, through Councilor Rodriguez, thanked Pag-IBIG Fund “for coming over so that our constituents will not travel far just to avail of the services they deserve.” (FREEMAN)
