CEBU, Philippines - Even before the completion of its P800 million eBloc Tower 2 building at the Asiatown IT Park, Cebu Property Ventures and Development Corporation (CPVDC) in partnership with Asian i-Office Properties Inc., is now drawing plans for another BPO building to be constructed in the next few months.
The two companies, under the umbrella of Ayala Land Inc. have formally topped off the 16-story BPO building at the Asia Town IT Park recently, and is expected to be finished by September of this year.
CPVDC president Francis O. Monera said the company is already planning to build its third medium-rise BPO building once the eBloc Tower 2 will reach occupancy deals of 75 percent.
At present, based on ongoing negotiations with interested BPO tenants, the building is already 65 percent committed to large companies, mostly are already operating in Cebu, and needing spaces for their expansion plans.
Monera said the eBloc Tower 2 is targeted to be 100 percent occupied by early next year, or maybe earlier. In fact, the four floors of the building are already reserved by interest locators.
Last year, the 25-hectare Asia Town IT Park had 13 new projects being built to accommodate growing number of companies looking for more spaces, at the same time condominium residential units.
“The completion of this office building will open the door for more investments and job opportunities in the area. eBloc Tower 2 is designed to support the needs and dynamic lifestyles of a global workforce. Here we aim to provide a unique environment that encourages productivity and efficiency within the premier I.T. hub in the region,” Monera said.
The building boasts of a 100 percent power back up system, consistent electric and water supply, optimum telecommunications facilities, centralized air-conditioning system, balconies on each leasable floor, and a ground floor retail spaces with al fresco dining areas.
The eBloc Tower 2 has also integrated sustainable environmental design practices through energy-efficient electrical and water systems. It is using dual-pipe system to collect grey water and has installed facilities to collect rainwater.
With CPVDC’s ISO systems ensuring quality as well as safety of its workers, the company also reported that work on the eBloc Tower 2 has reached 1.6 million man hours with zero loss time accidents.
Upon completion, eBloc Tower 2 will bring in over 26,500 square meters of additional leasable space within Asiatown I.T. Park.
