Bayswater Subdivision: MSY Holdings launches dream project

“Beer budget but with champagne taste,” is how Mariquita Salimbangon-Yeung aptly describes her new real estate venture referring to the affordable and quality houses at the newly launched Bayswater subdivision.

Owned and developed by MSY Holdings Corporation, Bayswater subdivision will have 2,000 units complete with amenities.

With this new venture, Salimbangon-Yeung, who is also the developer of Mactan Island Memorial Garden said that she wants to set a trend of what affordability and quality mean in terms of subdivision development.

Located in Agus Road, barangay Marigondon, LapuLapu City, this P1.5 billion investment is replete with a business center that will have an internet café, bakery and pastries shop, laundry shop and convenience store.

Bayswater will likewise have a playground, a swimming pool, a multi-purpose clubhouse, basketball and tennis court, cemented curb and gutters, and underground drainage system.

“It is so beautiful. This is the place that we can be proud of. This is just a beginning of the many projects that MSY will be undertaking,” Salimbangon-Yeung said.

Martin Yeung, the son of  Mariquita and Carlos Yeung said that the subdivision is a “dream for people, people to live in comfort, secure and happiness.”

Meanwhile, Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, who graced the affair said that this new venture of MSY is another tremendous project for Cebu’s booming economy as the undertaking is a show of commitment for Cebu.

Bayswater consultant Apollo Enriquez said that they will be using a construction mold called hi-grade aircraft aluminum from the United States, which is worth $1 million each to fast track the building of the houses.

Enriquez said that MSY bought six construction molds, which will expedite the building of a complete house in a span of as short as two to three weeks.

Enriquez said that out of the P1.5 billion total development cost, P350 million of this is devoted for the horizontal development (drainage, roads, power and water facilities) and the other amenities.

The 2,000 competitively priced houses will come in three different models. These are Sampaguita, Magnolia and Gumamela.

The Gumamela model has a lot area of 40 square meters with a floor area of 60.40 square meters. It has two bedrooms and two toilet and baths. This model, however, has no carport.

Another model, the Magnolia has a lot area of 64 square meters with a floor area of 84.56 square meters. It has three bedrooms, two toilet and baths and a carport.

The last model is Sampaguita, also with a carport, with four bedrooms and three toilet and baths. Lot area is 81 square meters and has a floor area of 118.70 square meters.

During the launching, MSY gave out a total of P2 million in prizes for the buyers. — Mitchelle L. Palaubsanon
